The dispute began when six Democratic members of Congress released a public-service video urging U.S. military and intelligence personnel to refuse any illegal orders, stressing that their allegiance is to the U.S. Constitution, not to an individual political leader.
The message, though framed as a reminder of standard military law, drew a fierce reaction from Trump.
In multiple posts, he labeled the video “a dangerous call to undermine military authority” and accused the lawmakers of attempting to weaken the chain of command.
