Saudi Arabia has unveiled its $7 billion high-speed rail project, the Land Bridge, connecting Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam. Stretching across approximately 1,500 km, the new rail line will reduce travel time between Jeddah and Riyadh from 12 hours to under four, offering a faster, more efficient alternative to road travel.

The Land Bridge is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to modernize the nation’s infrastructure, strengthen domestic connectivity, and position the Kingdom as a regional transportation and logistics hub. The project includes a new 900 km high-speed rail link, upgrades to the existing Riyadh-Dammam line, and the creation of seven logistics hubs to facilitate freight movement across the country.

Once operational, the high-speed rail will revolutionize passenger travel and cargo transport, supporting economic growth, boosting tourism, and enhancing trade networks across the Kingdom.
